Safety Training

Fortier offers our clients regulated or customized training classes for supervisors and/or employees. Our instructors provide a complete line of training courses as regulated by state and federal agencies such as OSHA, TOSHA, MSHA and DOT. We also design safety meetings that are customized to the special needs of our clients.

OSHA 10 and 30 Hour courses for Construction and General Industry- We have OSHA authorized instructors for both these popular courses. Classes can be taught at our office or at your facility.

Supervisor Safety Training- This class is designed for supervisors. It provides them with training in the basic safety management skills required to safely supervise their workers and manage your safety program.

Hazard Communication Training- This training is designed to meet the training requirements of the Hazard Communication standard. It can be done on site and is customized to the chemical exposures of that facility.

Permit Required Confined Space Training- We develop Permit Required Confined Space Programs and conduct the training required by the OSHA standard. Training takes approximately two hours, depending on the number of workers to be trained and the type of space to be entered.

Respirator Training- We develop Respirator Programs and conduct the qualitative training required by the OSHA standard.

Lockout/Tagout Training- We can provide training required by the Lockout/Tagout standards for maintenance workers and “affected employees”.

Medic First Aid- We offer training in First Aid, CPR, the Automated External Defibrillator, and Bloodborne Pathogens. Certification meets the requirements of the OSHA Construction Standard.

Substance Abuse Training-We can provide Department of Transportation and state Drug Free Workplace Substance Abuse Awareness Training.

Excavation Safety Training- We train your personnel to be “Competent Persons” under the OSHA Excavation Standard. This is a 4 – 6 hour class that covers all aspects of Subpart P.

Forklift Safety Training- We come to your location and provide training and certification to conform to the 29CFR 1910.178 standards.

These are the most popular classes we teach but customized training can be developed to meet your specific needs.
