A Fortier Program Audit gives our clients an effective way to evaluate their safety program as a comprehensive unit. We provide an understanding of how a company’s program undertakes safety concerns. Problem areas are identified and solutions suggested in the following areas:

• Safety department procedures, policies and compliance with government regulations

• Hiring procedures, policies and compliance issues, accident history review, investigation procedures, and recordkeeping policies

A comprehensive audit of your safety program will give you a clear picture of how your program addresses the following areas:

• An overall review of your program in narrative form that identifies problem areas and makes recommendations for improvements.

• An evaluation of the economic impact your losses are having and the potential for saving with an effective program.

• Are drivers of company vehicles being properly screened, trained and substance abuse screened?

• An evaluation of your compliance with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, DOT, and the Fire Marshall’s Office.

• Evaluate hiring procedures. Are you getting the best employees available or hiring your competitors’ problem employees?

• Are your accidents being effectively investigated or are supervisors simply filling out accident forms?

• Are supervisors enforcing your program or giving it “lip service?”

• Is safety training being effectively conducted?
